Made of synthetic fibers, Artisan brushes function like pig bristles, yet maintain their nib and shape when in contact with water. This is useful for long painting sessions with water-miscible oil paints, as the brushes maintain firmness, a fine point, and an excellent nib. The brushes are durable and perfect for working with thick, full-bodied paint straight from the tube. They can also be cleaned (when used with Artisan oil paint) with soap and water, no solvents are needed.
